Leadership fellow: West Yorkshire & Harrogate Cancer Alliance
An opportunity exists for a Clinical Leadership Fellow (CLF) to develop and work on a system wide project to understand the loss in the training pipeline from trainee to consultant in the following areas:
Radiology
Histopathology
Gastroenterology
Medical Oncology
Clinical Oncology
Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiography
Working closely with the West Yorkshire and Harrogate Cancer Alliance, Health Education England and Integrated Care Networks, the CLF will develop skills required to investigate the reasons why trainees choose not to enter the above specialties locally after training and propose solutions and ways to improve recruitment and retention locally into these specialty areas. The CLF will learn research skills, how to measure performance objectively and how to inspire shared purpose among our stakeholders when proposing and implementing changes.
This post will also provide the CLF with the opportunity to understand and develop their leadership potential and skills by working closely with the West Yorkshire & Harrogate Health & Care Partnership and the Local Workforce Action Board (LWAB).
