Lung Cancer Can Affect Anyone - Myth-Busting Campaign Spreads Awareness Message

A campaign to promote understanding and awareness that lung cancer can affect anyone, of any age, has been launched by the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation.

Lung cancer is the second biggest cancer killer in women aged 25-49, and those under 50 are more likely to be diagnosed at late stage when curative treatment is no longer an option.

Initially targeting women under 50, the #LikeMe campaign dispels the myths and misconceptions that lung cancer only affects older people and those who currently smoke, or who have smoked in the past.

The campaign features a number of women talking about their own patient journey, their experiences of lung cancer and the importance of acting on the signs and symptoms.
