Professionals providing cancer information services are among those taking up a new networking opportunity for individuals working with black and minority ethnic communities across Kirklees.

The Kirklees Black and Minority Ethnic Forum met recently and brought together professionals to share learning which will facilitate greater involvement by local communities and enable more effective support to be provided.

The Calderdale and Huddersfield Macmillan Cancer Information Service is a member of the forum.

Mandy Davies, Assistant Information Manager, attended the recent forum meeting at in Dewsbury.

The Forum is hoping to host a further event in Huddersfield later this year.
