Total funding of £6.1 million will be used to transform radiology services across West Yorkshire and Harrogate, following successful capital bids worth around £25 million by the area's Health and Care Partnership.

The funding is part of the £2.6 billion capital funding announced in the Autumn budget and being allocated to a number of health and care partnerships across England to speed up the modernisation and transformation of services.

In West Yorkshire and Harrogate, the money will go to four specific projects, including work by the Yorkshire Imaging Collaborative, which comprises the six NHS acute providers and two from outside the area.

The funding will be used for the collaborative procurement of imaging solutions to deal with some of the capacity and demand issues being faced in radiology. Yorkshire Imaging Collaborative will improve quality and create efficiencies, as well as providing the opportunity for further regional clinical service transformation.

Visit the Health and Care Partnership website for more details of the four projects.
