Cancer Research UK Launches GP Contract Hub

With the publication by NHS England of the GP Contract for 2020 - 2021, Cancer Research UK has launched the CRUK GP Contract Hub.

The aim of this information is to support GP practices and Primary Care Networks (PCNs) to deliver on their GP contract requirements for the early diagnosis of cancer. GPs play a pivotal role in diagnosing cancer earlier and supporting the NHS Long-Term Plan ambition to diagnose 75% of cancers at stage 1 or 2 by 2028.

The hub is a 'one stop shop' for GPs and PCN Clinical Directors in England, providing free, quick and easy to access information, without the need to register.

Aligned with GP contract changes for 2020 - 2021 (QOF QI module on early diagnosis of cancer and PCN specification on early diagnosis of cancer), the hub provides simple, practical and helpful information, summarising what GPs need to know and how to get started.

The recommendations for action are made by CRUK GPs working on the frontline. Signposting to resources, training and further support is also available.
